Netflix has a lot of originals this year. From documentaries to movies to series that become instant hits, there is a long list. However, we don’t all have time to look through every single title just to wonder if we will end up loving it or hating it. That’s why we broke everything up into categories. If you love documentaries, you’re on the right page! Here, you can find all of the Netflix Original movies released in July.

Rebirth – July 15

There is something troubling about Kyle’s old college friend, Zack, when he randomly shows up at Kyle’s office. Kyle is convinced to go on a weekend retreat aptly named “Rebirth.” Even when researching the retreat, there are some unsettling features. When he arrives, things get even stranger. A psychological thriller with twists and turns that will leave you with questions. What kind of retreat did Zack attend? Is it a simple excursion into the countryside to find inner-peace? Or is there something more sinister?

Tallulah – July 29

This movie is written and directed by Sian Heder, a writer and producer of Orange is the New Black. Ellen Page and Allison Janney co-star the film, and if you remember them from the movie Juno, you already know the on-screen chemistry they have with each other. Ellen Page has a strong performance, and Allison Janney is extremely convincing. The story follows a young woman who “rescues” a toddler from a Beverly Hills housewife who seems unfit to be a mother. The young woman takes the toddler to her ex-boyfriend’s mother, and their characters begin to unfold. The film originally debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, and is one of many independent films picked up by Netflix.
